A fiat currency, such as the USD or GBP, becomes inflated when its value increases and its purchasing power decreases. This may cause cryptocurrencies (let’s use Bitcoin as an example) to appreciate relative to that fiat. This has the effect of allowing you to accumulate more of that money with each bitcoin.
